What is Turning?
The area measure equal to 1000 m2 is called acre. Generally, the term acre is used to indicate the size of the area in the purchase and sale of lands such as fields or plots. There is no different acre unit depending on the nature of the land.
Acre was also used as a unit of measurement in the Ottoman period. However, acres were formerly used as equivalent to 918,393 m2. It was changed in 1945 because it was not an exact number and different square meters were accepted as the equivalent of one acre according to the regions. With the law dated 11 June 1945, it was accepted that 1 decare equals 1000 m2. 1 acre according to the international system of units; 1000 square meters, 10 square meters, 1 decare; Equivalent to 0.1 hectare or 0.001 square kilometers.
