What is Gross Concrete?
Concrete is a basic building material with carrier and decorative features. Concrete is obtained by mixing materials such as sand, gravel and crushed stone called aggregate with cement, water and minerals. There are different types of concrete according to usage area and production techniques. The type that is not plastered on and can be used for decorative purposes is called gross concrete.
Gross concrete can be used as the surface of the carrier system or as a coating product. It has a structure with smaller grains compared to ready-mixed concrete. Small-diameter aggregates are used in its construction. Since it is used indoors without plaster, very fine particles or organic substances are not used in its production.
Where is Gross Concrete Used?
Gross concrete, which is generally used with steel molds, has a carrier feature. It is possible to encounter gross concrete applications on the exterior and interior surfaces of buildings. It can be used outdoors such as retaining wall, carrier element and building surface. In the interior, a gross concrete wall or ceiling can be used for decorative purposes. It can be produced in color as well as gray, which is the natural color of concrete.
