Infrastructure is the whole of systems such as roads, water, electricity, natural gas, waste water and sewerage, internet and telephone that meet basic and special needs in buildings and settlements. Infrastructure systems also ensure that communication and transport networks between individuals and communities remain operational. Such systems can be operated by community management centers (municipalities, etc.) as well as by private institutions or individuals.<\/p>\n
Infrastructure services start from basic needs and evolve to private consumption products. Today, water and road plans take priority when establishing a settlement or designing a building. Water supply is provided to the needed places by making connections to the water source. Other infrastructure services are regulated by a similar scheme.<\/p>\n
A service fee may be charged for infrastructure services. In cases where this service fee is not paid, the person or institution that does not pay the service may be disconnected from the system. In such cases, the relevant connection point of the system is usually sealed and breaking this seal is a crime. It is also a crime to use these services illegally.<\/p>\n
Infrastructure services can be provided free of charge in line with the decisions of the community management centres. For example, a municipality may not charge for a water distribution service.<\/p>\n
