How Long is the Evacuation Period in a Home Sale?<\/h2>\n

People who want to buy a house with a tenant or the property of the owner of the property should clarify the period of evacuation of the house. If there is no agreement between the parties, the property owner must immediately evacuate the house he sold. When the title deed transfer takes place, the house must be evacuated and ready to be handed over. If there is a tenant in the purchased real estate, it is necessary to follow the steps specified in the Turkish Code of Obligations numbered 6098.<\/p>\n

When Should a Tenant Evacuate the Home?<\/h2>\n

The tenant is not required to vacate the house before the end of the lease. However, the new landlord may demand the eviction of the tenant by stating that he or she needs this real estate as a residence or workplace. In order for the new landlord to evict the tenant, they must notify the tenant in writing within 1 month after the sale of the house.<\/p>\n

It can also file a lawsuit after 6 months to terminate the ongoing lease agreement. The tenant can be evicted by filing a lawsuit 1 month after the end of the lease contract.<\/p>\n

If the owner of the property does not comply with these conditions, he is obliged to pay compensation to the tenant. The compensation amount is the one-year rental fee paid at least in the last rental year.<\/p>\n
